Field Casualty Course – Camp Atterbury, Columbus, IN – 17SEP2022

The annual  SGAUS Field Casualty Course will be held 16-18 September 2022 in Columbus Indiana, near Camp Atterbury this year.

Intent:  Soldiers needing further training in triage and the common conditions seen in the field following a Mass Casualty and or Natural Disaster.

Friday afternoon welcome, followed by Dining IN in formal attire.

Saturday classroom work with architectural tours of Columbus city downtown SAT evening

Sunday field exercises including helicopter litter exercises (and sky tours of Camp Atterbury from the air).

Registration : 16 SEP 1600-1700 course intro 1700-1800 Municipal Airport Columbus IN main terminal (basement classroom). Stand by for an Eventbrite registration link.

Dining In: (formal dress blues or equivalent civilian attire) 1900 Elks Lodge (at Airport)

SAT 0800-1600  ALL classroom work and demos. At Airport main building, basement classroom

SAT Eve: “explore columbus, architecture tour” (optional)

SUN 0700 bring PT gear for run/jog/walk (no test!)  voluntary

SUN 0830-1000  Hangar on airfield, Live chopper training exercise for litter transfer, (you will need helmet and ear plugs, we can supply both if u let me know ahead of the course)

SUN 1000-1200 Tabletop exercise for mass casualty (MEMS approved for those needing it).

SUN Afternoon classes back in the terminal including test/certificates/awards  and end time 1600
