SGAUS Medical Academy Vaccination Training

Recent directives to the National Guard require soldiers to be ready to participate in mass COVID-19 vaccination programs. This includes distribution and administration of current vaccines.

In response, Medical Academy will be hosting a Vaccination Training at Atterbury March 20-21 2021.

The course will include morning classroom lectures on current state of vaccination, POD design and implementation, storage of vaccines, administration techniques and differing properties of current vaccines.

Afternoon will entail a workshop/tabletop exercise followed by an exam and certificates of completion.

The certificate is one component of CME credit which will be awarded to those seeking State EMT licensure. The other component is the online coursework (see PME link to “Covid-19 toolkit” for courses) and completion of a minimum of 400 mins.
